Joined Pools in New York Park Ready for Years of Use With Installation of Ultimate Pool Surface’s 60-MIL Liner

Multiple joined pools in New Hyde Park, North Hempstead, NY, are ready for the summer season, following the installation of Ultimate Pool Surface’s durable  60 MIL liner by Sinhume of America.

The Special Park District pools, named the Clinton G. Martin Pool, are owned by the city. They include a 160-foot x 80-foot  activity pool, attached to an 80-foot x 40-foot lap pool and another 80-foot x 40-foot diving well.

The pools were originally built with concrete that was painted. Thye were unusable because of leakage. The project is part of a $20 million renovation at New Hyde Park.

Sinhume, a poolFORCE dealer who works exclusively with Elbtal USA, also used our 60 MIL liner to resurface two large main drains to the pool complex. They are each 20 feet long and 3 feet deep.

The product is water-tight and we guarantee it for 15 years. The liner is formed by 2 flexible sheets made of plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC-P) joined together with an inner polyester fabric. This polyester fabric provides dimensional stability and high resistance to punctures or tears, as well as elasticity and flexibility.

In the U.S., we use a network of certified professionals installers under the name poolFORCE. The membranes are engineered and manufactured in a 400,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Coswig, Germany, using virgin raw materials with all products consistently monitored.
