Charlotte Christian Day School Project

Jan 31, 2017

Our first major project in the Southeast United States was at Charlotte Christian Day School in Charlotte, NC. They have a 5,000 square foot outdoor swimming pool used by the students that they constantly had problems with leaking. They had a competitor’s 60 MIL membrane installed and they were sure it would fix all of their problems. Well, it didn’t. Bad installation, bad quality of the material used, or a combination of both led to them still having issues. Everyone was scared to touch it in fear they would make it worse and they even had bricks laid out along the bottom of the pool because the corners of the liner would float if not. They realized that they needed a permanent fix, and that is when they called us.

First, we came in and cleaned up the entire pool and area surrounding it because we wanted to make sure they were getting the absolute best quality of work they could get. Then we replaced all the components of the pool (skimmers, return, main drain, in-wall stairs) with ones that were vinyl compliant since our process doesn’t work without them. After that is done, our membrane installation process begins. As you can see from the video and pictures below, stairs of any shape or size, in-wall stairs, race lines, and wall anchors are no obstacle for Ultimate Pool Surface’s 60 MIL pool membrane.

Everyone at Charlotte Christian Day School was very friendly from the moment we got their call and throughout the entire process. Once we were done, they were so grateful for everything we did and how it all looked because they knew that we were the solution to their problematic cracked and leaking pool that they had been searching for all along.
